Tradition, Florida at St. Lucie West

Tradition, Florida is conveniently located just 40 minutes north of the Palm Beaches at the I-95 and Tradition Parkway interchange (Exit 118) in St. Lucie County.  It is near Florida Atlantic University and  The Indian River College in St. Lucie West.

Tradition is separated into nine distinct enclaves:  The Brennity, Bedford Park, Heritage Oaks, Prominade, The Estates at Tradition, The Lakes, Town Park, Victoria Parc and Vitalia.  Each neighborhood has its own HOA.

Its residents get most of their electric service from Florida Power & Light (FPL).  FPL has kept its typical residential customer bills among the very lowest of all 55 electric utilities in Florida. It has done so by investing in more efficient power generation technology than its competitors.

It is a master plan community that has a great shopping and dining area with lots of retail stores, restaurants, spas, banks, an LA Fitness Gym and a new 300-bed hospital planning to open their first phase of 80 beds in early 2014.

Tradition, Florida, which opened in 2003, captures the charm of America’s small towns of yesterday and combines that with the amenities today’s home buyers expect.  Following the guidelines of New Urbanism, Tradition’s varied neighborhoods surround a central retail district.  So, great shopping and dining are just a short stroll or bike ride from most homes. Tradition at St. Lucie West currently has approximately 2,400 residences, is home to Palm Pointe Educational Research School at Tradition, an innovative K-8 lab/charter school operated in partnership with Florida Atlantic University and the School Board of St. Lucie County.
